Animal Collective Plot First Full U.S. Jaunt

After three critically acclaimed albums in as many years, 2003’s Here Comes the Indian, 2004’s Sung Tongs, and last year’s Feels, Animal Collective are finally launching a full U.S. tour, with openers including Octis, Amps for Christ, Excepter, and Prem Raja Mahat. The tour starts Feb. 21 in Boston and wraps with two shows in the band’s hometown of NYC. Check local listings for which band will be opening in your city.

SPIN.com announced some of these tour dates back in November (read more), but due to overwhelming love for Panda Bear and company, the band expanded their touring schedule. Feels was included in Spin‘s 40 Best Albums of 2005, coming in strong at No. 36.
