In his first concert appearance since recovering from a brain aneurism earlier this year, Neil Young has been added to the Barrie, Ontario Live 8 performance. Young suffered a burst blood vessel in his brain back in April, and as a result had to cancel his performance at Canada’s Juno Music Awards. Young joins fellow Canadians Bryan Adams, Barenaked Ladies, and platinum selling emo rockers Simple Plan in Ontario. In more Live 8 news, an additional concert has been scheduled for Moscow’s Red Square. The Live 8 intercontinental extravaganza will take place on July 2. The concert is designed to raise awareness about poverty in Africa and is taking place at the same time as the G8 conference of world leaders.
