Weezer frontman Rivers Cuomo has revealed the group's coolest concert yet: a five-day sea-faring music festival dubbed The Weezer Cruise, set to take place early next year. And the guys have roped in some pals for the party, including Dinosaur Jr., Sebadoh, Wavves, the Antlers, Yuck, Free Energy, and Sleeper Agent. The ship sails from Miami to Cozumel, Mexico, on January 19-23. Watch Cuomo discussing it in the video below.
Music won't be the only distraction, though. The Carnival Destiny ship will host games and activities, 24-hour room service, "a few rounds of bingo," plus day trips to Cozumel's beaches. Also: these guys will be there.Weezer, meanwhile, will play three sets throughout, plus participate in a Q&A session and personalized photo-ops.
Prices start at $799 per person for double cabins, or four attendees can bunk together for $599 per person. Pre-sales begin July 21; the public on-sale begins August 3. Head to The Weezer Cruise site for more info.
