Sam Smith's "I'm Not the Only One" is one heck of a bummer, what with its not-so-subtle lyrics about infidelity wrecking a relationship. Well, now the British crooner has released a video for the In the Lonely Hour track, with Glee's Dianna Agron and The Mindy Project's Chris Messina starring as a couple whose marriage is disintegrating thanks to his cheating. The plot is pretty simple — she stays home crying while he goes to a bar to meet his mistress. While Smith performs in the saloon, they get busy in the bathroom, and the wife takes a trip to the store to pick up supplies for her revenge.
There's a bit of a twist at the end that we won't spoil, but one part is really vexing us. In the beginning, Agron tells Messina that she made him breakfast, but he says he's in too much of a rush to eat it. Then he goes straight to a bar and does shots with his sidepiece. So, are we to believe that he's getting hammered first thing in the morning? What kind of sleazy bar is open that early and has live music? Sorry to nitpick, but it just seems like an odd little detail. Anyway, enjoy it up top.
