Rad Mashup: Lady Gaga vs. Raconteurs

Hey, This Is Awesome!

Yes, the mashup craze came and went, but sometimes it's worth revisiting -- like when a bedroom producer tempers the oft-acerbic rants of Lady Gaga with some badass rock'n'roll.

Someone called DJ Lobsterdust has mixed Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" vocals with the crunchy riffage of the Raconteurs debut single, "Steady As She Goes." You can download it here -- at least until the aforementioned Lobsterdust is forced to take it down (as he was with his Nirvana/Gaga mashup).

The epiphany: Gaga, who started out as a rock singer, needs to record some songs with a stellar guitar-bass-drums outfit. And Jack White's no slouch of a producer. Just sayin'.

What other songs would make for good Gaga mashups? Maybe a little Kings of Leon -- "Sex on Gaga"? Or Vampire Weekend -- "In the summer drinking with Gaga?" Post your suggestions below.
