Ra Ra Riot have been doling out samples of their upcoming third album, Beta Love (due January 22 from Barsuk), for the past few months. First came the LP’s electro-poppy title track; followed by several new songs during the foursome’s week-long residency at their alma mater, New York’s Syracuse University; and then bummer bumper “When I Dream.” Add to that pile “Dance With Me,” the pink-lit opener to The Orchard‘s follow-up.
Singer Wes Miles doesn’t waste any time with this two-and-a-half minute rebound piece, immediately wailing in his Beta Love pouty face: “Oh, I mostly feel I had a good day / It wasn’t that great.” Cue a Passion Pit-like groove, confetti synths, and Miles’ delirious, falsetto pleas to, “Come and dance with me pretty, sweet fool / I wanna be your toy.” Stream it below (via Stereogum).
