Perhaps more surprising than the fact that Fall Out Boy Pete Wentz and pop starlet Ashlee Simpson opted to name their son Bronx Mowgli Wentz, with his middle name coming from their favorite Jungle Book character, is the fact their favorite character is Mowgli and not Baloo. (Um, "The Bare Necessities" anyone? No contest!)

Our hunch is that the couple might have a soft spot for Mowgli because Pete Wentz kinda looks like him.

But according to Wentz, the animated film holds special meaning for the couple [via MTV.com]. The bassist told Ryan Seacrest, "The Jungle Book is something me and Ashlee bonded over. It's really cool," adding, "I feel weird, because all these people have all these ideas on what [the name] means. I don't think anyone knows the real story of why or how."
