When it comes to getting a song placed where people will hear it, you can't do much better than a trailer for the final season of one of TV's best-loved shows. Therefore, British soul singer Alice Russell must be having a pretty good day considering her "Breakdown" soundtracks the latest preview for Mad Men's return. But the placement is also welcome news for the cult of Darondo — the late San Francisco soul singer is featured on the song, which is an alternate take on 2013's "Let Go (Breakdown)," which appeared on the To Dust LP. "Breakdown" is rich with retro charm and features a refrain that should seem fitting to those caught up through Mad Men's sixth season. The song is available now digitally, and will be released as a vinyl single for Record Store Day. Season seven of AMC show debuts Sunday, April 13. Watch the trailer below.
