The quizmasters at Jeopardy! have been on a musical kick as of late. Last month, the network TV game show tested contestants' knowledge of alt-rock trivia with questions related to Nine Inch Nails, the White Stripes, Vampire Weekend, and more. On Monday night (January 6), Jeopardy! delivered the hip-hop equivalent with a category called "It's a Rap." Host Alex Trebek rhymed his way through an entry-level history lesson on the Notorious B.I.G., Dr. Dre, Beastie Boys, and other iconic MCs.

Yes, you read that correctly: Alex Trebek actually rapped a few bars on the air. To hear the 73-year-old overenunciate Public Enemy lyrics ("You go ooh and ahh when I jump in my car"), watch the video above.
