Icona Pop Go ‘All Night’ With Vogue-Inspired Video
Six-minute short melds electro jam with documentary-like snippets
Icona Pop celebrate New York City’s elaborate vogue-ball scene in their newest music video, a six-minute clip that also promotes the Swedish duo’s other dance-floor-shaking anthem, “All Night.” Directed by Dori Oskowitz, the visual dives into the LGBT subculture, interspersing the single’s thumping pulse with testimonials from people who participate in the catwalk competitions. Caroline Hjelt and Aino Jawo perform during a walk-off in the semi-documentary, adding a triumphant soundtrack to an event where the champagne never stops flowing and bow-and-arrow sets are fashion accessories. Watch the video above to ease the wait for Icona Pop’s upcoming LP, This Is… Icona Pop. The “I Love It”-featuring full-length, one of SPIN’s 50 Fall Albums You Gotta Hear, touches down on September 24 via Record Company Ten/Big Beat Records.
