We’ve given you detailed and discerning festival previews, exhaustive live photo galleries, and in-depth morning after round-ups. But we’re all about immersive experiences here at SPIN, which is why we’re happy to bring you the first edition of Hi, We’re in Delaware, our festival podcast. We recorded the bulk of the kick-off episode at the recent Firefly Festival, which took place in Dover, Delaware. (Hence the name.) While we were there, SPIN senior editor David Marchese spoke with Kendrick Lamar on his tour bus shortly before the rising rapper took the stage. He also gabbed with comedian and musician Dave Hill, who was manning MC duties at the SpinMedia tent on the Firefly grounds. Last, we wrap things up with a roundtable discussion with SPIN editors about the marketing of Jay-Z’s upcoming Magna Carta Holy Grail, Kanye fan message boards, and the rap album your uncle is bound to love.
