The Head and the Heart Energize 'Kimmel' With Two Songs

Seattle Americana lovers bust out "Another Story" and "Shake"

Dan Reilly

It seems like a few months on the road have made the Head the Heart way more confident in their performances. Back in October, the Seattle sextet dropped by Letterman to perform "Shake" off their sophomore album, Let's Be Still, and while that was a fine performance, it's nowhere near as fun and energetic as last night's rendition on Jimmy Kimmel Live. The folkies started their two-song performance with "Another Story," with frontman Jonathan Russell leading the band to a crescendo highlighted by harmonies with singer and violinist Charity Rose.

After you enjoy the performances, check out SPIN's interview with the Head and the Heart, in which they profess their love for whisky, tacos, and Miles Davis.
