Watch footage -- created especially for SPIN.com -- of the Oakland, CA-based indie-folk outfit performing the eerie, gospel-like, unreleased tune.

Flushed with glee in anticipation of their sophomore record, All We Could Do Was Sing, which arrives today (May 13), Oakland’s nautical-tinged folkies Port O’Brien recorded an exclusive performance of unreleased track “From Port” for their pals at SPIN.com.

Check out video — with a jittery, animated intro courtesy of frontman Van Pierszalowski –of the band gathered in a small room behind the piano, belting ghostly lyrical hollers in unison, and chanting lost-in-the-open-sea la la la laaasss as simple yet echoing keys bounce from wall to wall in a reverberated spread. And, conversely, for a decidedly more lighthearted offering, stay tuned to the clip’s end for a hilarious, ad hoc vocal jam on Seal’s “Kiss From a Rose.”
