50 Cent has more acting projects in the pipeline. The rapper will star in the upcoming supernatural thriller Odd Thomas, an adaptation of a Dean Koontz novel that also stars Willem Dafoe. 50 will play a character named Shamus Cocobolo, a blind DJ who uncovers a satanic cult. [Variety]

  • Gay rights watchdog GLAAD has blasted Odd Future‘s Tyler, the Creator over his homophobic and misogynistic remarks, which included a controversial Tweet directed at Tegan and Sara. “Tyler has said in interviews that he is not homophobic, yet his Twitter feed and rhymes are rampant with anti-gay slurs and references,” the group said in a statement. “His defense that ‘people take things too seriously’ or that he’s ‘just a kid’ is inexcusable. Using hateful language, regardless of the context, is unacceptable and in fact, very serious.” [GLAAD]

  • Ladytron have dropped the first single from their new album Gravity the Seducer, due out September 13. Check out the orchestral, electro-pop ballad “White Elephant” below.
