Portland, Oregon, crew promotes 'VII' LP with noir-ish intrigue

Blitzen Trapper have crafted their own bit of pulp fiction with the music video for "Thirsty Man," a weary yarn from the folk-rock outfit's latest album, September's VII. Directed by Robbie Augspurger, the new clip weaves together a string of film noir clichés: the cartoonishly violent interrogation, the moody hero driving alone through the night, the tight-lipped crime boss out for blood, and the high-stakes conversations shared over kitschy, shoe-shaped telephones.
