What did Big K.R.I.T. know about Coachella's death-defying '90s West Coast rap reunion and when did he know it? In late March, the Mississippi rapper followed up his staunchly Dirty South mixture 4evaNaDay with the the triumphantly smooth G-funk homage "I Got This," anticipating the old-school Southern California style that had the most people talking after the unofficial kickoff to festival season. Now he's unveiled a similarly retro video for the track (set for June 5 Def Jam debut Live From the Underground), complete with blurred-out Michael Jordan jersey and school-overhead-projection intro music (via Nah Right). "Ain't nobody gonna block my shine," K.R.I.T. raps, echoing Big Boi's gorgeous Gucci Mane collaboration. Admire the chrome.
