Baroness recently announced their first American tour dates since their traumatic bus accident in August 2012, along with the addition of drummer Sebastian Thomson (of Trans Am) and bassist Nick Jost. Now the Yellow & Green champions have added a slew of shows to their tour itinerary and have also shared footage of their first rehearsal with Thomson and Jost.

In it, frontman John Dyer Baizley and guitarist Peter Adams talk passionately about their desire to resume touring. "Getting back out on tour and doing what we do is really what I want and what I need," Baizley says. "That's the rehab. Physical therapy is one thing, and getting functional is another thing, but... touring is it."

The Savannah, Georgia metal unit already promised to kick off their comeback tour on May 24 with a gig in Philadelphia, and now Baroness will be on the road until September 4, when they play a show in Vancouver. Between those dates, they will trek all across the U.S. with a few stops planned in Canada. Baroness will also perform at a number of festivals this summer, including Bonnaroo, Lollapalooza, FYF Fest, and Bumbershoot

Additionally, a relief auction to benefit Baroness — organized by friends of the group to cover medical expenses and loss of income incurred from the crash — began today. Some of the items up for grabs include the snare drum Mastodon drummer Brann Dailor used for 2004's Leviathan, a signed 12-inch test pressing from Circle Takes the Square, an autographed Kylesa poster, and original sketches used in Yellow & Green's artwork.
