Allen Blickle spent years pounding the drums for Baroness, but recently parted ways with the Savannah art-metal act after their horrific bus crash in August 2012. Blickle suffered fractured vertebrae in the accident, and while he was convalescing, the stick man teamed with his ex-step brother Justin Nuckols to focus more seriously on their electronic side-project, Alpaca. Now the Los Angeles/Brooklyn duo have finally assembled a debut full-length, Demimonde, which was slowly recorded over a period of five years. The upcoming LP arrives on October 1 via Robotic Empire, but Blickle (who serves as multi-instrumentalist) and Nuckols (who provides vocals) have shared a sample of the record: "FNYC" is a slickly futuristic dance tune, more neon groove than Yellow & Green art piece.
