A driver hired to chauffeur Kim Kardashian West is among the 17 people arrested in France yesterday in connection with the October 3 robbery of the reality star at her rented apartment, according to the Guardian and several French outlets.

As Le Monde reports, the driver works for a private car service the Kardashian family often hires when visiting Paris. He was reportedly the last person to see Kardashian West on the night of the robbery; police suggest he could have tipped off others to her whereabouts and the fact that she was alone in the apartment, after a bodyguard accompanied sister Kourtney Kardashian to a nightclub. L’Express reports that the chauffeur’s brother was also arrested.

More than $11 million worth of jewels were stolen in the heist, but it wasn’t the smoothest robbery: The thieves allegedly left fingerprints and DNA evidence on plastic handcuffs, tape, and a gag used to restrain Kardashian West. They also apparently dropped one of her necklaces, a platinum and diamond cross pendant, in the street as they fled. Thus far, it’s the only piece of jewelry police have recovered.
