Lady Gaga Rocks in the Desert With Kevin Parker, Mark Ronson in “Perfect Illusion” Video

Lady Gaga’s new song, “Perfect Illusion,” has gotten a mixed reaction from stans and pop partisans alike. Some say the key change is a forced element that she doesn’t really justify in the buildup; others say it gives you life, yaaaas. Regardless, Gaga is going full hog with the single–she’s just dropped a video, which you can watch it below.

The new clip takes place in a desert, where Gaga dons her best rock’n’roll cutoffs before rocking out with her legion of fans, along with Mark Ronson, Tame Impala’s Kevin Parker, and producer BloodPop, all of whom worked on the song. It might seem like she’s dropped the wild outfits of albums past for something austere (by her standards), but take it from a YouTube commenter: “this may look ‘normal’ for gaga but trust me as a longtine fan, she has somthing deeper brewing, if you dont get it then you must not know gaga.” Her new album, Joanne, is out October 21.
