Carly Rae Jepsen’s only a few weeks away from the release of her sophomore album E•MO•TION, and she’s just released the fantastic “Making the Most of the Night” as a buzz single. Written by SPIN 2014 Artist of the Year, Sia, the song is a frantic, stuttering message from Jepsen to a partner. “I know you’ve had a rough time / Now I’ve come to hijack you / Hijack you / I love you I’m / Making the most of the night,” she howls with a rasp anchoring her voice. Without question, E•MO•TION is shaping up to be 2015’s best pop release.
