Miley Cyrus, Laura Jane Grace, and Joan Jett Cover the Replacements’ ‘Androgynous’

A few days back, Miley Cyrus released the first in a series of live videos from her Happy Hippie Foundation — a non-profit organization to benefit homeless and LGBTQ young people — featuring her and Joan Jett performing “Different” off Jett and the Blackhearts’ 2013 album, Unvarnished, together. Now, we get another clip also featuring Cyrus and Jett, plus Against Me! frontwoman Laura Jane Grace proudly covering the Replacements classic “Androgynous.”

The cover feels especially relevant shortly after Cyrus told TIME that she chooses not to define her sexuality, saying, “I’m not hiding my sexuality. For me, I don’t want to label myself as anything… There are times in my life where I’ve had boyfriends or girlfriends.” Grace, meanwhile, came out as transgender in 2012, and has released the groundbreaking Transgender Dysphoria Blues in 2014.
