The National Brood Over ‘Christmas Magic’ on ‘Bob’s Burgers’

The National, Christmas Magic

It’s hard to take the National seriously when they’re trussed up as cartoon Christmas ornaments, but somehow the band pulls it off in the latest holiday episode of Bob’s Burgers. Returning to the screen after lending a somber song to the show’s 2013 Thanksgiving, the National are animated in this new clip to resemble an elf, snowman, Rudolph, nutcracker, and angel while murmuring a gloomy song called “Christmas Magic.”

Each member mopes through the minimalist tune, singing “All the cold, hungry people are dying in the streets / Me and my family / We’ll be warm tonight / Warmer than those people.” Um… good? Let’s just hope they got their check. Watch “Christmas Magic” above via Vulture
