Is Conor Oberst the hardest working man in melancholic, wistful pop?
After releasing two studio albums in 2005 (Digital Ash in a Digital Urn and I’m Wide Awake, It’s Morning), the Bright Eyes singer announced he has started work on another project.
At the Bring ‘Em Home Now concert in New York — which also featured performances by Michael Stipe and Moby, among others — Oberst said “We have a bunch of songs recorded and we are going to put out a record probably next year,” according to MTV News. “The music’s good,” he added. “It keeps my life turning around.”
