Inouk Supply Vintage Melodies to NYC’s Mercury Lounge

Inouk, a Philadelphia-bred and Brooklyn-residing five-piece, returned to NYC’s Mercury Lounge last night following an 18-month hiatus and delivered their distinctive brand of semi-psychedelic harmony laden pop tunes. The band’s short set was replete with ranging three-piece vocal harmonies, ghostly piano chords, bluesy 12-bar bass riffs, and slashing, upbeat rhythm guitars, and lead vocalist Zander Duell traded between keys and acoustic guitar through a cluster of Stone Roses-esque tracks. Judging by enthralled fans, Inouk enjoyed a warm welcome back to Mercury’s stage. WILLIAM GOODMAN
