Lifetime, the highly influential punk band that turned the New Jersey hardcore scene on its ass, is preparing to release their first new material in ten years. The band will release a two-song single via Pete Wentz’s Decaydance label Nov. 21 and plan to start work on a full-length in October, with a 2007 release date in mind. The A-side to the single is “Haircuts & T-Shirts,” while the B-side is “All Night Long,” which “picks up exactly where we left off [with Jersey’s Best Dancers] only 10 years older and wiser,” guitarist Dan Yemin said in a statement. Fans who want to snag the single early can grab a copy at the merch table of one of the band’s two upcoming shows: Nov. 18 at the Stone Pony in New Jersey and Nov. 19 at the First Unitarian Church in Philadelphia.
