Liz Phair and Smashing Pumpkins’ Billy Corgan were on tour together when the news of Prince’s death arrived last week, and each offered a tribute to the late icon on Friday. Liz Phair performed “Nothing Compares 2 U” on stage in New Orleans, while Corgan and touring Pumpkin Sierra Swan did an informal acoustic cover of “The Cross” in what appears to a be bar.
