Back in November, Jake Tatum, a.k.a. Wild Nothing, shared news of his third studio album, Life of Pause, plus two singles: “TV Queen” and “To Know You.” Now the Brooklyn dream-pop purveyor has dropped another single, a xylophone and bass-heavy tropical breeze called “Reichpop.”
Skeptics may ask how balmy sonics relate to anything that starts with the German word “Reich,” but a quick Google indicates that the phrase relates to anything regarding empires and kings. So, if it’s Tatum’s wish to be a King of (Indie) Pop, he’s onto something here. Listen below, and look for Life of Pause on February 19 via Captured Tracks.
