Kid Kruschev, the upcoming mini-album from Sleigh Bells, is due out November 10, and the noise-pop duo has just released a second single from the record. “Rainmaker” is a blend of different elements that have characterized Sleigh Bells tracks–the overblown jock-jammy bass hits and handclaps–and new ones like the song’s dreamy ’90s-throwback of a vamp, which finds Alexis Krauss crooning ethereally over a rave-ready breakbeat. Previously, the group posted the near-percussionless “And Saints,” which was perhaps an even-more-radical reinvention of what Sleigh Bells could sound like, earlier this month. Listen to “Rainmaker” below.
