John Mayer Is Selling A $125 Bead Necklace

Finally, personified Friends rerun John Mayer is venturing into the high-tax bracket world of fashion collaborations. The 38-year-old guitarist has teamed up with New York jeweler George Frost for a line of unisex jewelry that’s available on his website.

There are five pieces. One of them is moderately priced; the others are obscene. Three of the pieces use Morse code to spell out the titles of John Mayer songs because goddamn, John Mayer, of course you would. Here they are:

  • A $50 Stretch Morse Bracelet. The three bracelet variations here spell out “BORN,” “RAISED,” and “JM” in Morse code. (“JM” is short for…. John Mayer.)
  • A $105 Woven 3M Bracelet. It’s handwoven and uses reflective thread “that illuminates when hit by light in certain positions in the dark.” The Woven 3M Bracelet is a wonderland.
  • A $125 Single Wrap Morse Necklace. It is also in Morse code with messages spelling “WILDFIRE” or “NEON.” As you’d be right to assume, they’re both the titles of Mayer songs.
  • A $195 Revolving “LOVE IS A VERB” Necklace. If you spin the pendant quickly, it reveals the eponymous message. The message refers to the Born and Raised track. Love is also a noun.
  • A $125 Single Wrap Morse Necklace. It is also in Morse code with messages spelling “WILDFIRE” or “NEON.” As you’d be right to assume, they’re both the titles of Mayer songs.

If you buy all five, you will be immediately arrested.
