Kero Kero Bonito Release Manic-Pop ‘Graduation’ Anthem

Hyper-pop project Kero Kero Bonito have been making waves for a while with sugared-up, sometimes-sardonic anthems like “Picture This,” “Lipslap,” and “Break.” Now the U.K. trio is back with a new single called “Graduation,” plus news of a full-length called Bonito Generation, arriving on October 21 via Double Denim Records.

Opening with electronic handclaps, “Graduation” bounces with shocking EDM bolts as lead singer Sarah Perry sings, “Today’s my graduation / So long to education / Didn’t learn a thing anyway.” (And there’s plenty more cheery skepticism where that came from.)
