On Friday, March 18 at South by Southwest, dozens of musicians and friends of SPIN gathered at Pelon’s for the third annual Royal Roast, an invite-only event that celebrates SPIN‘s big day party at Stubb’s. Despite the rain and ominous lightning lighting up the sky — which temporarily shut down scores of venues throughout Austin — guest DJs Jamie Hince from the Kills and Kristin Kontrol (a.k.a Dee Dee from the Dum Dum Girls) kept the party bumping, while guests (including D?WN, Bloc Party, Neon Indian, Alex Newell, Car Seat Headrest, and many more) enjoyed Tex-Mex cuisine and flowing cocktails.
