Fat Joe Says He Passed on Signing Eminem Six Times

Fat Joe, the artist behind “Lean Back,” has some regrets. Chief among them, he told South China Morning Post while on tour in Hong Kong, was not signing Eminem when the young rapper came to him asking to be picked up — six times. “Man I got so many regrets,” he told the publication. “The biggest is that Eminem gave me so many demos – six different times he approached me and I didn’t sign him. Shame on me.”
