Eagles of Death Metal Mock Los Angeles Cool Kids on ‘Silverlake’

They'll let their 'Zipper Down' on October 2

Eagles of Death Metal (the duo of Jesse Hughes and Queens of the Stone Age’s Josh Homme) will release their latest record of fuzzy joke-rock songs, Zipper Down, early next month and today they’ve finally shared another taste of that LP. Over at Rolling Stone they shared the tongue-in-cheek “Silverlake,” a takedown of the “cool kids” in the Los Angeles neighborhood of the same name. Along with some buzzy bar-rock, it features the rallying cry of the almost-important as it’s winking chorus: “Don’t you know who I am?”
