Woman Destroys Civilization With Love in New Yo La Tengo Video
The short for their "Friday I'm in Love" cover is bloody hilarious
The Cure’s “Friday I’m in Love” is a pleasant song, and the Yo La Tengo cover might be even more delightful, if that’s even possible. However, the band have counteracted any remnant of that saccharine sweetness with a violent, apocalyptic, and hilarious new music video.
The short follows a woman, whose apparent feelings on love cause massive hearts to careen through the sky, obliterating people when they come crashing down, instantly reducing the poor saps to pink mist. Eventually — after civilization as we know it has fallen — the grime-covered survivors decide that maybe they should just do away with Fridays all together. Watch it on YouTube.
