Tink Lets Loose on Dreamy New Single ‘I Like’
She also flips the script and freestyles for the 'XXL' Freshman shoot
SPIN’s been telling you this for a while: Illinois’ own up-and-comer Tink is going to be around for a very long time. And two new tracks from her today — the dreamy “I Like” and her XXL Freshman freestyle —prove why. The former is a smooth, entirely sung track produced by C-Sick, a Chicago-based who’s worked with Nas, Lil Herb, and Twista, and it hearkens back to Tink’s introspective Winter’s Diary days. The freestyle, on the other hand, trades off singing and spitting as the 20-year-old upstart demonstrates the full capacity of her dynamite lyricism.
