Zola Jesus Performs Outside in New York City Snowstorm

Zola Jesus

When a massive snowstorm hits, most people stock up on canned goods, ready their Netflix queue, and prepare to hibernate until further notice. But Zola Jesus is not one of those people. In the face of a calamitous blizzard to hit New York City last night (which, for the record, didn’t end up being all that calamitous), Zola Jesus moved her scheduled appearance at Brooklyn’s Saint Vitus up a few hours and took to the wintry streets to perform “Nail” from her most recent LP, Taiga. Joined by a small audience and a single trombone player, Zola (née Nika Danilova) sounded lovely and — it has to be said — definitely worked this inclement weather situation to her favor. Watch the performance above.
