From appearing on Parks and Recreation as the fictional act Land Ho!, to forming an outfit called Tweedy with his son Spencer and recording their Sukierae album, to headlining the Newport Folk Festival, it appears Jeff Tweedy is not one for rest. And he’ll prove this yet again when he takes his best-known band Wilco on the road again this fall in support of the group’s 20th anniversary.
“Wilco’s never been a band that needs a particular reason to play shows, but this time, they’ve got one,” a press release on the band’s website reads, referring to the momentuous anniversary. The group will also release their first ever “Best Of collection” in conjunction with the 20th, as well as a “Rarities box set.” Furhter details are yet to come.
Wilco will swing through cities like Port Chester, New York and Nashville, Tennessee on their brief fall tour, and fans can put in song requests via the band’s website. Is it too early to ask for a mid-show Land Ho! set?
