On September 9, Interpol will finally release El Pintor, their first album since the departure of longtime bassist Carlos Dengler. They’ve already shared a black-and-white surf video for the album’s lead single “All the Rage Back Home” and a professional live clip for “Anywhere,” but today the trio has shared another dusky track “Ancient Ways.” This new song relies on gloomy guitar lines and frontman Paul Banks’ near-Corganian moan to hearken back to the dim post-punk strains of their earliest work.
