After arriving at Manhattan’s Dover Street Market, a high-end, multistoried designer boutique on 30th and Lexington, Travi$ Scott sat down on the steps and started rolling a blunt. The 22 year-old rapper and producer has gotten used to a certain level of freedom, you see. As the youngest leg of of Kanye’s G.O.O.D. Music crew, Scott has been building a name for himself ever since he first appeared on the production credits for the crew’s 2012 Cruel Summer compilation (where he was responsible for hits like “Don’t Like”), before going on to give his beats to Magna Carta, Holy Grail and Yeezus. With his own, critically-acclaimed Owl Pharaoh mixtape released in May 2013, Scott proved that his talents extended beyond the soundboard, as he recruited T.I., 2 Chainz, and Paul Wall to rap alongside him. Since then he’s been keeping busy clocking in studio hours for his forthcoming full-length Rodeo and working on the mysterious follow-up to Yeezus.

We tagged along on a NYC shopping trip with the rising MC and chatted about his fashion must-haves, Houston style, shopping with ‘Ye, and his forthcoming shoe collaboration.
