Hear Saves the Day’s ‘Classic’-Sounding ‘The Tide of Our Times’

Saves The Day

It’s been 15 years since Saves the Day’s debut album Can’t Slow Down was first released by Equal Vision Records, and now the New Jersey emo statesmen are returning to the label that helped shape them. On September 17, Saves the Day will unleash their self-titled and self-produced eighth album through Rory Records, an imprint of Equal Vision founded by Say Anything leader Max Bemis.

“It just felt like a classic Saves the Day album,” frontman Chris Conley said in a statement, explaining the eponymous title. “It had elements of all the different sounds that the band has gone through… [the record] sounds like it wrapped our legacy.”

Sample the upcoming LP by streaming “The Tide of Our Times,” a big-hearted, high-pitched anthem that, like the recently shared “Remember,” can be filed next to Saves the Day’s finest work.
