As any viewer of HBO’s Flight of the Conchords series knows, protagonists Bret McKenzie and Jemaine Clement are not only musically inclined, but also devout but awkward admirers of the female populace. And here, with “Ladies of the World,” a tune from last season, as well as the New Zealand-born duo’s forthcoming Sub Pop full-length, out April 22, McKenzie and Clement kindly address their feminine counterparts across earth and offer their services.

“I just want to do something special for all the ladies in the world, and the girls, don’t you forget them girls,” McKenzie croons over a jangle of acoustics, segueing into a ramble in which Clement calls out earth’s females by nationality, religion and, um, species: “Bolivian, Namibian… Amphibian, Presbyterian.”

But differences aside, ladies, Flight of the Conchords just want “to do a little something special for you all,” no matter “if you’re ugly or you’re skanky, or you’re small.”
