Tour Updates: Detroit Cobras, Monolith

The Detroit Cobras, the girl-girl fronted outfit behind covers of vintage R&B and rock’n’roll’s most obscure B-sides, have announced an extensive summer tour behind their latest homage paying collection of songs, Tied and True, CMJ.com reports. Kicking off in Springfield, MA June 28, the 40-date outing will lead the Motor City band through cities such as Cleveland, Philadelphia, and Washington, D.C. before heading south, hitting Nashville, Atlanta, and New Orleans, among others, along the way. Following a cruise across the deserts of the Southwest, the Detroit Cobras will ascend the West Coast, skim the Midwest, and wrap with a performance in their hometown Sept. 1.
