Flaming Lips, Decemberists, Kings to Play New Colorado Fest
Monolith collects lengthy bill of rockers for opening installment, slated for Sept. 14-15 at Red Rocks.
Colorado’s Red Rocks Amphitheatre has entered the indie rock festival arena with stern footing by announcing an impressive bill of performers, including Flaming Lips, the Decemberists, and Kings of Leon, for the Monolith Festival, the scenic venue’s first ever multi-day, multi-stage event scheduled for Sept. 14-15. Further notables include Cake, Spoon, Clap Your Hands Say Yeah, Ra Ra Riot, Ghostland Observatory, Brian Jonestown Massacre, Juliette and the Licks, Flosstradamus, Cloud Cult, Earl Greyhound, Das EFX, the Broken West, YACHT, Lords of the Underground, and Mobius Band. Additional artists will be announced as the festival approaches.
Tickets for the five-stage, two-day event go on sale June 2 at 10 A.M. MST via ticketmaster.com and will run $42.50 for a single-day pass, $79.50 for a two-day pass, and $175 for VIP access.
