Following the alleged assault of his driver, New York City rapper Busta Rhymes, a.k.a. Trevor Smith, Jr., has apparently found himself tending to his own transportation needs — a duty Busta might want to reconsider. According to MTV.com, the Flip Mode Squad MC was arrested at 12:48 A.M. this morning (May 3) in NYC for driving while impaired. Stopped by the NYPD due to the excessive tint of the windows on his 2006 GMC Yukon Denali, Busta, according to NYPD Detective John Sweeney, exuded a strong scent of alcohol and “dropped his wallet to the ground” upon request for identification. Next, police administered a field sobriety test, which logged Busta at a .147 blood alcohol level, well above New York’s .08 legal limit. As of this morning, the sly tongued rapper was still cooped up in central booking awaiting a court hearing.
