Michael Jackson Wants to Give World ‘Escapism’ on New Album

Michael Jackson’s next release, on which he collaborated with the Black Eyed Peas’ will.i.am, is due out next year via the Bahrain-based label Two Seas Records. The King of Pop told Access Hollywood that though he hasn’t released a new album since 2001, he never stopped writing. “I’m always writing a potpourri of music,” he said, according to the AP. “I want to give the world escapism through the wonder of great music and to reach the masses.” As for will.i.am, who Jackson has been working with at a studio in Ireland, the singer said: “I like what he is doing and thought it would be interesting to collaborate or just see how the chemistry worked. I think he’s doing wonderful, innovative, positive, great music.”
