Jay-Z, currently on a world tour, will have to cross Shanghai off his itinerary. The Culture Ministry of China has opted not to give local promoters a permit to hold the rapper’s Oct. 23 concert at Shanghai’s Hongkou Stadium, according to the AP. “Some of Jay-Z’s songs contain too much vulgar language,” promoter Sun Yun explained in the Shanghai Daily. Hova has ten dates left on his world tour, during which he is promoting water conservation.
