See Cobra Starship for $2!

Cobra Starship are the latest band recruited for MTV2’s $2Bill Concert Series, and fans can catch the band opening for 30 Seconds to Mars and Head Automatica on their five-week cross-country trek. Cobra’s Gabe Saporta told SPIN.com the tour is “rad as hell,” and that he’s “lucky” to be part of a bill that has housed the likes of Beastie Boys, Radiohead, and My Chemical Romance. “This tour is rad because kids can see a lot of awesome bands for cheap — especially now that concerts are so expensive,” Saporta said. When asked what he’d do with $2, the singer said he’d buy into a poker hand.

The bands will kick off the jaunt just after Cobra Starship’s debut, While The City Sleeps, We Rule The Streets drops Oct. 10, and they’re set to make stops in cities like Minneapolis, Detroit, New York, and Seattle before finishing up in L.A. Nov. 25. $2 tickets are in limited supply and they go on sale Sept. 16.
