For “Faster Kill Pussycat,” the house-fueled, dance-popping lead single off A Lively Mind (out today), superstar DJ Paul Oakenfold enlists actress Brittany Murphy to hit its high notes and star in its music video. The clip follows Murphy as she strikes Madonna-inspired poses, dances onstage for a swarm of club kids, and slinks her way through a crowded dancehall. Since the video finds the starlet oozing sex appeal, it’s unsurprising there are only a handful of shots of Oakenfold and even less of the eponymous feline. When she repeats “You turn me on” as the video cuts quickly from her to Oakenfold to dancers to kissers, the feeling becomes overwhelmingly mutual.
