Intonation, Ozzfest Set for Summer
Rock and grime will collide in Chicago in June as Bloc Party and the Streets headline this year’s Intonation Music Festival in Chicago, June 24-25 in Chicago’s Union Park. Curated by VICE Records, the festival’s second annual incarnation will also feature more than 20 bands on alternating stages.
Tickets for the festival, which drew 30,000 concertgoers last year, can be purchased at www.intonationmusicfest.com. A one-day pass will set you back $20 while a two-day pass is $35. On Monday, March 13 at noon CT, a limited number of two-day passes will be sold for $20.
In heavier concert news, the lineup for this year’s Ozzfest has been announced and Ozzy Osbourne, System of a Down, Disturbed, Hatebreed, and Lacuna Coil will hit the main stage, with one more major main stage act to be announced in late May.
The second stage will feature headliners Black Label Society, as well as Atreyu, Unearth, Bleeding Through, Norma Jean, A Life Once Lost, Strapping Young Lad, the Red Chord, Full Blown Chaos, Walls of Jericho, All That Remains, and Between the Buried and Me, according to the festival’s official site.
Ozzy himself will only headline 10 dates this summer because “after 10 years I feel it’s time to let someone else share the headlining spotlight,” he said in a statement.
